Don't end up walking around like a zombie by noon.
Go to sleep early!
This should be a given, right? I know, I know, you've heard it a million times. It's probably the truest thing you will ever hear, though. The earlier you go to sleep, the more the sleep is worth. Between the hours of nine and ten, your sleep is equal to three or four hours! So while you're only getting, say, six hours of sleep, it will feel like way more. Between eleven and two, your body is in its deepest sleeping state, which is also when it does its daily body cleaning and what gives you the most energy. When you hit three to six, one hour of sleep is only equal to about fifteen minutes, which is basically nothing! Get to sleep earlier. Seriously, it really does help.
Do NOT get on your phone in the morning.
We've all done it, so you can't deny it. Your alarm goes off, you grab your phone, and sit in your bed for an extra twenty minutes. This. Is. Not. Good. I know you probably think, "it's only a few minutes, how bad could it be?" It is bad! Get up, shower, and start your day as soon as your alarm goes off. I'm not going to lie, I used to sit on my phone in the mornings, too. When I stopped and started getting up as soon as I heard my alarm, it made all the difference! Sitting on your phone in the morning not only strains your eyes, but also makes you more sluggish, since you're putting off waking your body up all the way.
Give yourself time to eat a good breakfast.
Breakfast is a really big key in your energy for the day. You have to make sure you're giving your body the right nutrients that it needs or 1) you'll be hungry later and, 2) you'll be tired later! Wake up with enough time to eat a good, balanced breakfast. You can't just grab a Pop-Tart and leave, thinking everything to be okay. The foods we eat are what give us our energy, and you can't expect your body to take care of you if you aren't taking care of your body.
Don't start your day off with negative thoughts! Every day is what you make it, so if you start the day with happy thoughts and feelings, it will help in the long run! Sure, sometimes it's hard, and everyone has bad days now and then, but trying not to think negative will do wonders for not only your energy, but your overall mindset as well. Try it, and I bet you will notice the difference!
Skip the energy drink, seriously.
While everyone uses these for a quick boost of energy, it can actually do the opposite. Sure, for about half an hour you've got tons of energy! What about after that half an hour, though? You crash, and most of the time it's REALLY hard. They're also packed full of sugar, which isn't a good sign of energy. Skip the energy drink and try some Black Tea! It's got the caffeine you need, without all the sugar an energy drink comes with.
The more you exercise, the more energy your body actually gets. If you sit at home all day, playing video games, then when you actually go out to do something, you'll get tired quickly. You have to get your body used to activity. Get up and moving! Even a simple walk through town, for maybe twenty minutes a day, will help your body get used to activity, and not be so tired when you do it!
What are some tricks you use for more energy through the day?
