There are many ways in which someone else’s negativity can affect your life. Some negative people simply radiate their awfulness all over everything they come into contact with. Some of them purposely point their finger at you and curse you (figuratively, of course). The good thing is that you don’t have to let that negativity feed away at you like bed bugs out for your blood.
You can dispel their negativity with a few ritualistic steps. Use one or all of them, but start by removing that negativity from your life. It doesn’t matter who blocks who first, just stop talking to them and stop thinking about them. Then, try one or more of the following...
Sage is used in cleansing rituals all of the time and can be used to cleanse your home and your soul. You can do a cleansing on your own, you just need some sage and something to carry it in that is fire proof and not going to cause you to get burned (and a lighter, of course). You can buy a sage smudge stick at your local new age shop or health & wellness store.
Light the sage and take it with your from room to room. Use something to direct the sage’s smoke around the room, like a large feather. Simply think positive thoughts and request that each room is cleared of anything bad and filled with only happiness and positivity. Once you’ve gone through each room that person has been in, or that feels like it has something negative weighing it down, you can then smudge yourself. For this, you will basically do the same thing, sweep the smoke from the smoldering sage around your body thinking positive and feel the cleansing deep in your soul.
Meditation is perfect to relieve stress and has even been proven to lower blood pressure. It’s common for a negative influence in your life to cause you stress. Meditation can help you relax, and it can also help you work to let go of the friendship/relationship ties that have bound you to this person that is so obviously not good for you.
It’s quick and easy to Google search a guided meditation for whatever ails you. Youtube is full of free guided meditation videos. To make your meditation work you just need to have silence and no interruptions so that you can focus on the steps the guide gives you. That means you need to turn off your phone.
Negative forces, even people, can have a poor effect on your chakras. This can leave you feeling out of balance, exhausted, anxious, and stressed out. Look into getting a good chakra cleansing done. There are people that can do these, or you can do a guided meditation that will walk you through the steps on your own.
If you know a little something about chakras you might be able to pinpoint which one is out of balance, or there may be more than one off track, and then you can focus on a particular chakra at a time using healing crystals and meditation, without needing to cleanse and balance them all.
Speaking of cleansing crystals; you can use healing crystals with any of the other options above. Hold one in your hand when you meditate or keep one in your pocket while doing your sage cleansing. Crystals heal through the vibrations they hold within them. Different crystals can heal different areas of the body, different mental issues, and can even be motivational toward different successes (like letting go or staying safe on travels).
Some of the best crystals to use for healing include amber, amethyst, and rose quartz. These aren’t the only ones that can be used for this task, but it gives you someplace to get started. The rose quartz will not only dispel that negative energy, but it will also replace it with loving feelings.
The most important thing to remember is that you are in control of your own feelings. Don’t take someone else’s negativity toward you personally. It’s their problem, not yours. There is some underlying issue that makes them feel that way, but it’s not your job to find out what that is. Simply live your life and do what you can to continue being positive and bringing positivity into your home and your soul.
